A caring home in Chapala for children and youth from dysfunctional families.
Hope for Abandoned Children is a home in Chapala that provides shelter and a family environment to seven children and youth ranging in ages from 6 to 23. These children became victims of their circumstances and are at risk of falling through the cracks. The main objective of Hope for Abandoned Children is to provide a home environment while striving to keep these children in school so they can become self-sufficient once they enter adulthood. Financial sponsors, donations and volunteers are being sought to help Elvia, the woman who has taken in these children when their families became unable, to care for them. A fundraiser is also planned for November 19, so please check the calendar. For more information, please contact Graciela Ducet at gducet@gmail.com, or 766-2887.
